Endicott Coil Company, Inc. produces many shapes and sizes of self-supported, or “air core” coils for use in a variety of space-constrained electronic applications. Working with customer specifications, we use our CNC equipment to wind strands of coated 24-48 AWG copper magnet wire to the desired form. The bondable coating is then activated by either a solvent-based or heat cure process to secure the magnet wire strand-to-strand. The finished pieces are soldered and trimmed, and we use both advanced statistical process control techniques and in-process gauging to ensure tolerances are kept within ± 0.005″.
